We’re excited to announce two new session offerings in addition to our Signature Portraits.
Signature Portraits are our standard portrait sessions and are akin to a typical “look-at-the-camera” portrait session. Your session includes time with the photographer at a location of your choosing. While we like to provide a relaxed, natural experience, posing guidance is provided as necessary.
Typical products you might order include wallet prints, large wall prints, and Fine Art Gallery Wraps.
A Day In The Life sessions are our photojournalism-style lifestyle photo sessions designed to capture the emotion and connection you share with your loved ones. You’re asked to set up an activity with your loved one(s) that encourages interaction and that you enjoy doing together - perhaps an activity that has special meaning. For example, couples might set up a date at their favorite coffee shop or a picnic at their favorite park; families might build a sand castle at the beach or bake cookies together at home. Whatever the activity or event, posing and photographer interaction is limited in order to naturally capture the emotion and interaction between you and your loved one(s).
A Day In The Life sessions typically result in more images from which you’ll order prints and other products. Typical products you might order include several small prints, Collage Prints, and Signature Photo Books.
Social Sessions are quick, inexpensive sessions for individuals or small groups meant to produce excellent quality images for social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) or your website or blog. If you need to freshen up your Facebook cover photo, this is the session for you. While prints and other products are availble, typically you’ll receive only the screen-optimized image files included with your session. If you prefer to order prints and other products, we encourage you to choose our Signature Portrait session instead, in which case, for each image from which you order a print or other product, you’ll receive a screen-optimized image file for use on social media sites at no additional cost.
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve refreshed our website! We’ve tried to make it easier to navigate, easier to let you know what we have to offer, and more attractive, to boot.
Our Portfolio is no longer Flash-based, making it smartphone/tablet-friendly - you can even advance through any gallery with the swipe gesture you’re used to. Our products page, now called What We Do, has been reorganized, simplified, and includes more information about our services as well. We’ve also given social media sharing a bit more attention, so share away.
In the (hopefully) near future, we’ll be tweaking some things to provide a better overall mobile experience as well.
Feel free to have a look around and let us know what you think.
As we kick off 2012, we’re reminded how amazing 2011 was for us, personally. We’re excited about what 2012 has in store, but we wanted to take a moment to reflect back on some of the personal events that made 2011 such a great year for us. Enjoy our 2011 retrospective, in photos…
The first big huge event of 2011 was our engagement in February, followed by our wedding in May.
After our wedding, we embarked on our honeymoon in Greece. Greece was one of the best travel destinations either of us have ever experienced. Our honeymoon started out in Athens (click for more photos)...
... followed by the island of Mykonos...
... then Santorini...
... and finally, Crete.
The next 2011 life-changing event for us was purchasing our home, which we absolutely love!
And finally, we welcomed a new member of the family - our nephew, Hayden.
If you’ve kept up with our Blog or read our About page, you know we love to travel. One of the few things we love more than traveling is taking beautiful photos of some of the amazing places we’ve been, including Africa, Ecuador, Peru, and the Galapagos Islands, as well as locations closer to home, such as Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, the Pacific Northwest, and Hawaii.
We’ve had a number of people ask us how they can purchase prints of some of our travel and fine art photography, and now, we’re proud to make that available in the form of an online store.
In celebration of the opening of our new Travel & Fine Art store, we’re offering a Black Friday special. Starting this Friday, November 25, through Monday, November 28, we’re offering 30% off all Travel & Fine Art prints! To take advantage of this offer, just use coupon code TFABlackFriday11_30 at checkout on any Travel & Fine Art products.

The holidays are fast approaching, and with that comes holiday order deadlines. Any holiday-related portrait sessions should be scheduled by mid-to-late November. Holiday-related print orders should be in by early-to-mid December, while holiday card orders should be in by early December in order to get them back in time to mail out to family and friends.
As always, let us know if you have any questions.
We’re offering a Facebook holiday card special all this month, until November 30, 2011. To see what we’re offering, just head over to our Facebook page, “like” it if you haven’t already, then check out the Specials tab on the left; you’ll find all the info you need there.
